Malyan M180 50mm Cooling Fan Mod
thingiverse
I designed a customized cooling fan mod for my Malyan M180, which enables mounting a 50mm blower fan on the side of the extruders. This versatile bracket can be positioned on either the left or right side of the printer and is secured in place by four small pins under the extruders. The design is cleverly engineered to require no physical modifications to the printer, as it clips into existing mold holes. This accessory is specifically designed for a 50x50mm blower fan. I opted to mount mine on the right side, closest to the right extruder, which happens to be my most frequently used one. Since I use Makerbot for all my prints, I had to adjust the start position by -20 due to the fan triggering the end stop. I'm excited to share this mod with you! To get the best results, please note the following print settings: Printer: Malyan M180 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20% Notes: To achieve optimal performance, print with the air duct pointing up and to the left. Additionally, print the long extruder mounting bracket in mid-air with supports. This configuration yielded the best results for me when printing the air duct and fan bracket.
