Maltese Falcon Prosthesis
thingiverse
Not really sure how to explain this, but maybe that's okay because it's a Maltese Falcon prosthesis - what you get when a movie buff loses a leg. We've been talking about doing this for several years now, and when I got the printer, it was the first thing that came to mind. Hopefully, he'll send some pictures later this summer in his kilt and full regalia. As for me, I pretty much carved out the infill to nest this around the pylon. After everything was in place, it was filled with two-part foam to give it structure and secure it down. Lots of CA glue and epoxie, along with a little bondo, got it all done. To get the best possible print, I dialed the print speed way down. The bottom took 24 hours, the torso 23 hours, and the head 19 hours to print. The files are here - they're identical to Dungbeetle24's version, with no alterations made by me when printing it. I just wanted to post this here so it would be searchable with tags, allowing the gentleman in the pictures to find it and share it with his friends. The files were included for a successful upload, and I also posted it as a "make" on Dungbeetle24's page.
