Mallet Finger Brace

Mallet Finger Brace

thingiverse

I designed this finger brace to fit snugly around my middle finger. It can be easily resized to accommodate any finger size, and it allows the sensitive finger pad to remain fully exposed. This renders the finger partially functional, making it a far better option than other braces with underslung support that I found to be uncomfortable and painful on the underside of the knuckle. I'm more than happy to share the fusion files with you if you send me a private message. UPDATE: v12 As the UK continues to heat up, the v10 design tends to put pressure on the top of my finger between the distal and medial joints. To avoid this uncomfortable soft tissue step, I extended the plate on top to support the knuckle, which helps distribute the pressure more evenly. UPDATE: v13 After a week or so of wear, I discovered that the skin under the brace becomes extremely sensitive and needs a break from constant coverage. To address this issue, I moved the strut to the sides, leaving the top of my finger as exposed as possible. This should significantly reduce the amount of pressure pain suffered by the finger.
