Mallard Duck 3D model
cgtrader
The Mallard duck, expertly rigged and animated for various 3D applications. This highly detailed model is designed to work seamlessly with Lightwave 8.5 and up, 3DS MAX 2009 and up, Cinema 4D r13 and up, and MAYA 2013 and up. Its sophisticated rigging allows for realistic animation, utilizing 3 bones within each wing to create a natural flapping motion. The wings can be folded using one of several morph targets, giving the duck a charming and lifelike appearance. The Mallard model comes with multiple pre-animated scenes to get you started quickly. These scenes demonstrate various animations, such as taking off, landing, and flying in loops. Control over the duck's movements is provided through its primary controlling objects: Mallard Null, Root, LT_Foot, RT_Foot, which enable a wide range of gestures and expressions. The user-friendly setup, dubbed 'Mallard_Zero_FIN.xxx', features no animation but is still rigged for easy adjustments. To help you get started with animations, several scene files are included: Mallard_Zero_FIN.xxx, Mallard_TakeOffAndLand_FIN.xxx, Mallard_FlyLoop_FIN.xxx, and Mallard_SIG_.xxx. Each scene offers a unique starting point for your projects. With 24 Morph targets at your disposal, you can create an impressive range of animations and poses. The mouth and phonemes are controlled by 10 morph targets accessible through the Object=>Properties=>Deform menu. In addition to the basic control provided by LT-Foot and RT-Foot or their counterparts LT-FootControll and RT-FootControll, the duck has three 'neck' bones, a 'head' bone, and a 'lower beak' bone for precise movements. To streamline the body's profile for flight, use the morph target 'BodyFlight', ensuring the duck's aerodynamics are optimized for speed. Don't panic if you experience weird distortions when trying to fold the wings using Morph targets; simply 'zero out your wing bone positions,' and the Morph targets will take effect smoothly. The Mallard model boasts an impressive level of detail, utilizing Sub-Patching, Hypernurbs to minimize geometry while retaining high-quality textures. Its poly count is an impressive 14,700 polygons and 24,624 points. Its supporting polygon counterpart, the Pond, showcases similar finesse, generated for each application and offering a remarkable total of 30,984 polygons and 41,625 vertices. All texture maps provided are in RGB or grayscale, rendered at either 72 or 200 DPI with dimensions measuring 2666 x 2666 pixels.
