A majestic statue made of limestone stands proudly as a testament to ancient artistry. Only the torso and head remain intact, frozen in time, while the man's right hand firmly grasps his toga, a symbol of dignity and power. His left hand lies still along his body, adding an air of serenity to the overall image. The head, separated from its body, seems to gaze out into the distance, as if lost in thought. This magnificent work of art is identified as a statue of Emperor Septimius Severus, who ruled with authority and wisdom from 193 to 211 AD. Discovered in 1970 at the main entrance of "Orgtehnika" factory in Silistra, on the territory of Durostorum, this treasure has been carefully preserved for future generations to admire.
