A male portrait head is set on an irrelevant antique bust with lorica and cloak. The absorbed and meditative expression distinguishes the face of a mature man, with slightly sunken eyes, wrinkles at the base of the nose and on the balding forehead. The portrait, from the Giustiniani Collection, is similar to the portrait of Julius Caesar of the Chiaramonti type.
