Discovered at Smyrna, Asia Minor, the skull was intricately placed within a statue depicting a male figure draped in a himation, clearly evident from the fragment of garment preserved on the back of the neck. Likely originating from a funerary monument, it was unearthed alongside the female head designated as inv. no. 363.
