Male figure graffiti in Villarrubia Jail
sketchfab
The 18th century jail of Villarrubia de los Ojos, situated on the ground floor of the old City Hall building, is located in the heart of the town of Villarrubia de los Ojos, Ciudad Real, Spain. Like other jails from the same era, the walls of certain cells feature engravings that serve as graffiti. Among these, it's possible to distinguish human legs clearly. It appears to be a representation of an entire male figure, but only the lower half remains in good condition. A 3D model was created using Reality Capture software with 139 images. Additional processing took place in Geomagic Wrap, Zbrush, Substance Designer, and Blender. Sources: López-Menchero et al. (2020) conducted a study comparing medieval and modern prison graffiti in Ciudad Real province. Their research was published in the book "From disciplinary controls to security controls: Proceedings of the 2nd International Congress on the History of Prisons and Punitive Institutions," pp. 37-54.
