Male / Female Torso Pull Ball Chain or Keychain Knob | Handle | Fob | Finials
thingiverse
This Chain Pull Knob is engineered to work seamlessly with standard #6 (3.2mm) ball chain. It also accommodates smaller chains when paired with a #6 metal connector. Both of these designs can be printed without supports, making them an excellent pair for ceiling fan/light combos. To assemble the pull chain knob, simply pass the chain through its top and attach a standard #6 connector. If using a ball chain and metal connector, form a loop around a keyring and hook the other end of the connector to it. Alternatively, you can print the BALL-CONNECTOR.stl file I've included if you don't have a metal connector. Note that printing this connector in PLA may result in a tight fit. Place the chain on a hard surface, position the connector over the last ball, and push down until it clicks into place. You can also use string with a large knot tied at its end as an alternative option. When printing, I typically use 10% infill. However, for ceiling fan applications, you may want to opt for higher infill settings to achieve greater weight.
