A highly detailed 3D model of a Malayan Tapir was created by me using reference images gathered from online sources; please acknowledge my work if this model is utilized. Dimensions: 35x13x20. Malayan tapirs face severe threats to their survival, earning them endangered status on both the IUCN Red List and the United States Endangered Species Act list, as well as an Appendix I listing in the CITES appendices. The most significant danger to Malayan tapir populations is the conversion of forests into agricultural land and human settlements. Nonetheless, the rate of agricultural development has slowed due to rapid industrial and manufacturing growth in southeast Asia. While hunting of Malayan tapirs has largely ceased, some individuals are still accidentally shot or trapped.
