Several mounts are available for the MAK 1000 Telescope Lens, including Manfrotto and Vanguard models. The Manfrotto mount has a standard footprint that matches most adapter plates. The Vanguard mount also uses standard adapter plates. A motorized version of the mount is currently being worked on. Unfortunately, no suitable motor has been found yet, as all options are either too large or too flimsy. Print settings used for the project include: Printer: Prusa I3 Berlin Rafts: No rafts were used. Resolution: 0.2mm layer height was selected. Infill: A minimum of 50% infill was required to ensure structural integrity. The mount has been successfully printed using 1.75mm PLA, and it can hold a telescope securely on both Manfrotto and SkyWatcher mounts. However, the Vanguard tripod used may not provide the same level of stability due to its slightly wobbly design. Post-printing requirements include two 1/4" photographic allen head bolts for attaching the lens to the mount. These bolts can be difficult to find outside of the UK, but they are essential for proper mounting.
