I utilized a circular spirit level bubble attached securely to the rear of my screwdriver to drill vertical holes directly downwards, but due to the rubberized components, the spirit level would frequently detach so I opted to fabricate a holder for the spirit level and affix it using screws that secure the rear cover...as depicted in the accompanying images.
