thingiverse
This nozzle is designed to fit on a Makita RT0700C router as a dust extractor and air injection system, ideal for cutting aluminum on small CNC router machines. Two STL file models are provided: the first includes upper and lower parts for wood and plastic cutting without an air inlet; the second model features air injection in the nozzle to clear the cutting path while extracting swarf when cutting aluminum. A video demonstrating this design is linked below, accessible through the GrabCAD library at https://grabcad.com/library/makita-rt0700c-vacuum-adapter-1. Please comment on your experience with this design and whether it works for you, as feedback will help improve future iterations. Important notes include: - The vacuum hose/outlet size is 38mm in diameter. - The air injection tube fits a 10mm rubber hose connected to an air compressor line or alternative sources. Printer settings: - No raft should be printed. - Supports are required only when they touch the bed. - Infill should range from 20% to 50%, depending on your needs. - Print in two halves. - Avoid scaling the design. - Recommended materials include PLA+, Nylon, and ABS. Hardware components include: - Two M4 button heads, each 20mm long. - One M4 button head, 15mm long (internal vacuum end). - One M4 screw, 30mm long for router clamp installation. - Four M4 Nyloc nuts.
