Makita RT0700 Mount for X-Carve
thingiverse
I'm upgrading my Shapeoko2 to the X-carve derivative, and in doing so I wanted to be able to mount my Makita router in a better way than is currently mounted on my Shapeoko2. I started with the STL for the Dewalt mount from Inventables: https://www.inventables.com/technologies/x-carve-dewalt-611-spindle-mount I took away the plate section at the back as I will be using my Shapeok2 carriage plate, and modified the internal diameter to fit the Makita 65mm spindle. The plan is to mount the delrin Z nut in the top 2 bolt holes that are in the rectangular recess using M5x10-12mm, and then using M5x16MM bolts with nylon nuts through the other 4 recessed holes. Since my X-carve upgrade parts haven't arrived yet, I haven't tested the full fit on a machine as it will currently collide with the Shapeoko2 Z axis mount plates at full Z extension up. I will update once I have confirmed fit. I have also attached the sketchup file used for this model, as well as the STL Update: I have mounted this to my X-carve and installed the router. Once I have tested it in actual use I will update again Print Settings Printer: HyperCube Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 50%
