The Makita RT0700 router is popular and that's a fact. It is no coincidence that a large number of clones of this model are produced in China. I needed to make even grooves without rearranging the guide rail. On the YouTube channel “LABOX Ulisse”, I found a great idea for a more powerful router in the “Guida per Fresatrice Verticale” video (watch the movie and like it). I decided to make the same base for this small edge router, and this may come in handy for craftsmen. You will need to print the base itself, magnet caps, and extensions. Insert three magnets into the base in one direction with the polarity of the magnet, and insert the gags for magnets. Glue three 4 mm washers into the extension bars. Product dimensions: Base router: diameter and straight edge 100 mm, height 5.5 mm Extension bars: length 100 mm, height 16 mm, thickness from 1 mm to 20 mm. You will need: Ordinary washers for 3mm screws: diameter 7mm thickness 0.7mm (for the thinnest expansion 1mm). Ordinary washers for 4mm screws: diameter 9mm thickness 0.8mm (for the most other extensions from 2 mm to 20 mm). Base magnets: 8 mm in diameter, 4 mm thick (you can combine - I collected 4 magnets of 1 mm in one = a total of 12 magnets for three sections) Recommendations: Washers are punched at the factory and therefore have a burred edge on one side. I recommend removing these burrs with a needle file or running a washer a few times over the sandpaper. This way it will be easier to glue them, the washers should not protrude above the surface of the model. In the last picture I show how the puck looks BEFORE and AFTER processing. Now it's very cold in Russia, bears walk the streets, and the blood runs cold in my veins. Therefore, I cannot show you how this edge router base works.
