Makita Palm Sander Shop Vac Attachment

This is an adapter for a Makita BO4550 palm sander that lets you hook it up to a ShopVac / shop vacuum. The BO4551 is probably very similar, so this might work on that too if I'm not mistaken. It fits tightly, and I couldn't quite figure out how to make the middle part thicker, but it looks good so far. That's to say, I haven't tried sanding with it connected yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. (You can see from the photos that it fits fine on both devices.) UPDATE: Please check the comments - unfortunately, this doesn't hold up even to light use and needs improvement before it can be used feasibly. I created the model using OpenSCAD.
