Makita multitool OIS to Dremel adapter
thingiverse
I have a very useful Makita BTM50Z (new type is LXMT02Z) oscillating multitool, much like the one on this website: http://www.makita.com/en-us/Modules/Tools/ToolDetails.aspx?Name=LXMT02Z. Makita uses OIS blade types, which are a major improvement over the previous versions. Recently, I purchased a Dremel MM720 Multi-Flex blade from this website: http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Accessories/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=MM720. Unfortunately, it's not compatible with Makita products. I tried various adapters available online, including the ones found on this Amazon product page (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Rg6dI0oNL._SX355_.jpg) and ProToolReviews website (http://cdn.protoolreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/ptr/2726.jpg), but none of them worked. This is when I decided to create my own adapter using the OpenSCAD software. You can find the custom OpenSCAD model attached and use it to create your own compatible adapters for Makita oscillating multitools, providing users with a much-needed solution.
