Makita magnetic bit holder

Makita magnetic bit holder

I thought Gertsen's design looked great at first, but after just a few weeks of regular use, bits started falling out or the holder would suddenly snap. This remix is far more robust and relies on 8x2 mm neodymium magnets to keep the bits securely in place, rather than relying on friction fit alone. The bits glide easily in and out with minimal effort, but remain firmly attached even when storing the drill upside down. The magnets can be press-fit into place after printing and provide an additional feature: the bottom side can now be used to hold a drill or some screws. A few changes were made to enhance this design: - It defaults to being screwed to the left side of the drill, preventing longer bits from scraping your arm if you're right-handed. - The text was removed, allowing for easy mirroring if you're left-handed. - It now holds 5 bits instead of 6, providing additional strength and space for the larger 8mm magnets. - A portion of the bottom ridge was eliminated, which previously interfered with my drivers' bodies.
