Makita LXT 18V Battery Mount
thingiverse
If you want to unlock the full potential of those Makita LXT 18V batteries, you need a reliable way to access the battery terminals. This innovative 3D print delivers a high-quality plastic plate that seamlessly integrates onto the battery, securing in place with a snap just like your trusty Makita power tool. The electrical terminal connections are meticulously replicated using authentic Makita spare parts (643852-2), precision-glued into position. You'll need to source these components separately, but they're remarkably affordable considering their high-quality credentials as genuine Makita parts. The 3D Makita LXT 18V Battery Mount is engineered to perfectly fit the Makita 643852-2 Battery Terminal spare part, and I personally use epoxy resin glue to provide a rock-solid bond. This design has been successfully adapted for various projects, with modifications made to accommodate custom 3D printed box covers. To ensure exceptional strength and rigidity, I rely on PETG filament for my 3D prints. My print is crafted from high-quality PETG 1.75mm 3DFillies black filament, with a precision layer height of 0.2mm and an optimal infill percentage of 35% using my trusted PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. I'm confident you'll find this design extremely useful, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Be sure to check out some of my other innovative Makita battery projects and share your feedback! Updates: Version F * Optimized the screw mounting holes to require identical screw lengths for a seamless installation process. Version G * Fine-tuned the design with minor tweaks, elevating this popular and successful design to new heights.
