Makita Dust Shoe (RT0700-RT0701C)
thingiverse
This is a dust shoe designed specifically for Makita's RT070x series of palm routers with a 1.25" vacuum connection. Key Features: Tool change made easy thanks to two-piece construction held together by magnets. Cooling air redirected to prevent it from blowing onto the work surface. A rubber brush can be easily swapped out for different work depths, or you can print additional bottoms for quick replacement. This design is created to be printed without any supports. To complete this project, you will need six 6mm x 3mm magnets, two 8mm x 3mm magnets, two 260mm x 30mm+ strips of 1/16 inch rubber (inner-tube from a tire works well), and one 1" x 2" piece of 0.6mm lexan or some other durable clear plastic. You may also need six to twelve #2 sheet metal screws, but they are optional. Update: As of January 3rd, 2018, I found that the set-screws used for holding the shoe to the Makita didn't work well, so I cut slots into the upper part of the shoe and used a 3-inch stainless steel clamp instead. This worked great, and I've provided a new file for you to use.
