Makita Case Catch

Makita Case Catch

thingiverse

I'm excited to design something from scratch, a completely new experience for me. This is part one of a two-part catch/latch system that attaches to my Makita plastic blow molding drill/driver case. Since I still have the second part intact, I'll hold off on designing it unless there's enough interest. Feel free to leave comments if you're interested in seeing part two. I recently broke the catches on my Makita drill case and a friend, who doesn't own a 3D printer, kindly offered to print this for me. As someone relatively new to this field, I was surprised at how simple it was to create this design using Tinkercad. My friend Keith deserves credit for introducing me to this platform; while it would've been more convenient if he'd made it himself, I understand his reasoning now – it's given me a valuable skill to add to my toolkit. Thanks to Keith and the online community at Tinkercad for making this possible. You can edit this design online here: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/dQxGKXyF4kC
