Makita battery adapter for Cocraft GT18 string trimmer
thingiverse
This is an "easy to reverse" mod for the Cocraft GT18 string trimmer, sold in Clas Ohlson stores. GPlatek has created a fantastic mount for Makita batteries, with zero play in that mount. My mount attaches to it using M4 bolts and nylock nuts. Just desolder the original battery connector and use the one from Mojo_Replica. I used old PSU metal chassis, exactly 0.8mm thick. Installation: Open the screws on the handle, remove the old battery mount. Attach the new battery mount and route the wires through. Solder the wires to the Makita battery connector. I used simple PLA for this, with 60% infill. It seems just enough. Trimmer in action: https://youtu.be/sVnqwtoVKY0 Update 14/9/2018. After a dry summer, I got to use the trimmer on our lawn five or more times. We have quite a large lawn, about 6000m2 of cut grass area where I used this. The slices of metal cut from PSU chassis didn't get warm at all although I ran a battery almost empty on one run. Everything works really fine.
