Makita 7,2V to 2S LiPo conversion mod

I found this old Makita 6018D without a battery, and I was thinking of using it again. However, aftermarket NiMh batteries cost too much for my taste. Luckily, I figured out how to use my old drill with a LiPo battery, which is cheap and extremely durable. Layer height: 0.2mm I printed the conversion on my Anet A8, and it turned out great. The top and bottom parts fit together perfectly, so I didn't need any adhesive to secure them. Check out this video for more details: https://youtu.be/3zD2fxeeSeQ To do this conversion, you'll need the following: * Turnigy 2200mAh 2S 25C LiPo pack (~10€) * Low voltage alarm (~2€) * XT60 Connector Male (~2€/5pcs) * Shrink tube (black) 1€/m or red 0.9€/m, or a KIT 2.2€/530pcs * 14 awg wire (black) ~1.5€/m or red ~1.5€/m * Charger (50W) 16€ or (80W) 30€ * Old drill battery connector * Hot glue * Solder iron and wire Here's a step-by-step guide: 1. Solder the wire to the old battery connector, then solder the XT60 connector to the wires. 2. Glue the soldered old battery connector to the 3D printed top battery case (be careful with the polarity! It's marked on the case and the XT60 connector). 3. Replace the original battery holder with the 3D printed version. 4. Place the Battery in the bottom part, connect the Low voltage alarm, connect the XT60 connectors together, then connect the bottom and top parts together. 5. Place the pack in the drill. 6. Enjoy! If you don't plan to use the LiPo battery for an extended period (1-2 weeks), you'll need to decrease the cell voltage about 3.8V ±0.5V. You can do this by selecting the storage option on your charger. This will help prolong the life of your battery and prevent it from swelling.
