Makita 6172D Mount / holster

This is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2528836 This one is designed to print vertically, with the tip down as opposed to being under a desk. It fits very tightly around the drill, as you can probably see. Printed with a Lulzbot TAZ 6 I scaled the Weldingrod1 makita drill hanger by like 80% and removed the bottom section that was probably there to clear the switch. That's all I did. Every Makita drill seems to be different so you will need the right one for your device. I like the 6172D because it uses safer non-explode-ready batteries and has a nice feel to it. I think it was sold just before the new style drills with lithium batteries were introduced. They can be found used for like $60. Batteries used to be $7 which I liked. Price has doubled recently to $15. But still not a bad price. If you look hard, you may find one for $20. BTW this model is pretty easy to repair when something goes wrong... have had mine apart once to fix a part that came loose.
