Makita 1900B Power Planer Vacuum Attachment
thingiverse
I've got a Makita 1900B Power Planer that's been kicking around for 30 years, and let me tell you, finding a vacuum attachment for the outlet port has been a real challenge. So, I dusted off my old Tinkercad skills and cobbled together something to get the job done. It works like a charm, but don't expect it to handle huge chips of material - that can easily clog things up. I'm using this setup mostly for shaping surfboards, which means I'm working with foam most of the time. The attachment holds up well to that kind of material, and I've found it's been a game-changer in my workshop. To add an extra layer of security, I included a loop that lets you thread a wire or zip tie around the tightening knob. But honestly, I find that the screw holds just fine on its own.
