Buy the original 18-volt plate and attach wires directly to the 12-volt device using a soldering iron. Then, place a 200-watt DC-to-DC converter between them. I purchased this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RGWJHPZ. Before connecting it to any 12-volt device, set it to output 11 volts.
