Makita 18V Battery Terminal
thingiverse
This is my version of an 18v Makita lithium-ion battery terminal. It's just a basic terminal plate that fits into various battery mount bases available for printing. The terminals are simplified, consisting of thin gauge (0.5mm or 0.020") sheet metal bent at a 90-degree angle and inserted through a printed slot, held securely by 3mm bolts. It is a direct replacement for the original Makita terminal 643852 or 643838, which are also readily available on eBay. There's an excellent original print model at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:863257. The "Makita Battery Mount" in one of the photos is designed and posted by Gary Platek, found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:352094. You have several options for this part. Terminal lugs can be bolted directly to the 3mm bolts for electrical wiring connections. If you're using our Aldi Workzone (Einhell) or Ozito (Bunnings) battery breakout converters, the terminal bolts match on both parts, and a spring can be used to make the electrical connections, eliminating the need for wiring.
