Makita 18V Battery Connector

To electrically connect to a Makita 18V LXT Battery, you will need some metal pieces correctly shaped and aligned to reliably and robustly clip onto the battery. For most, 3D printing can assist in printing the plastic component, but for those unable to shape the metal contacts, this component is available as a Makita spare part, Makita 643852-2. I've purchased them for under US$5, but you may need to shop around. This part is intended to be fitted into a Makita battery base plate, giving it rigidity. Look out for my other drawings on this site to see this 3D part.I use this drawing in my projects for spacing purposes. It's not all that well drawn, but I've decided to include the Fusion 360 CAD drawing file for you to work with it.
