Making Copper Chain (Heavily inspired by Pocket83)
thingiverse
A while back, pocket83 uploaded a video about making copper chain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byM292kKPhw. I have the tools to make the jig he created, however my attempt looked incredibly bad and was barely functional. No guarantee that this part will work unless you come up with a solution to cool it down (cutting the copper with a hacksaw / dremel tool generates a lot of heat). My recommendation to prevent your part from melting would be spilling water on it via a pump, or a gravity fed mechanism. I Have also included blocks which can be attached to the sides so that you don't scar up the bottom of the copper coil once the saw cuts through. Lastly, I have included Inventor files so that you can make modifications to the length of the jig. (The one provided is 4in long and 1in length and width.)
With this file you will be able to print Making Copper Chain (Heavily inspired by Pocket83) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Making Copper Chain (Heavily inspired by Pocket83).
