The first annual MAKE Magazine Industry Maker Awards, or "The Makeys," has seen nominations from various companies that support independent maker/hacker culture. The award ceremony takes place on September 16 at Maker Faire New York 2011 and will be webcast live from the city. Thingiverse.com and MakerBot Industries collaborated to produce the physical trophies for this event. The trophy design was made by Jonathan Monaghan, printed by Matt Griffin, based on an illustration by Kim Dow. Assemble all parts with superglue after printing.
