MakeSmith CNC gear stack
thingiverse
This is a 3D printable file for the MakeSmith CNC gear stack assembly that would normally be built from three pieces of acrylic joined together using adhesive. The "Gear Stack" file showcases the component as envisioned by the MakeSmith team. I was asked to create the part with a hole slightly smaller than one-quarter inch, so I have created two alternative parts. The "Gear Stack 7/32 Hole" file represents the component with a 7/32 inch hole instead of a space for a 1/4-20 nut. The "Gear Stack 15/64 Hole" file represents the component with a 15/64 inch hole in place of a space for a 1/4-20 nut. I recommend printing it using support features and approximately 30% infill, along with three-layer walls. Insert a one-quarter-twenty nut into the provided slot and secure it with super glue.
