Like my design for the MakerTron in the Pinshape 3D printing contest to cast a vote now! https://pinshape.com/items/11384-3d-printed-makertron-arduino-smart-flight-suit I want to help rebuild the MakerTron's population, so I'm giving them flight capabilities! This custom-made jetpack and wing suit incorporates the best of Earth's open-source technology from Arduino. I know it may not be as advanced as the MakerTron's original tech, but I believe it will suffice for now. This chip is an Adafruit Flora, perfectly sized to pair with the MakerTron Core. A micro-USB port on the jetpack's underside allows for easy software updates as we develop more gadgets for the robot. I'm still working out the flight dynamics for the rocket boosters, so if anyone has expertise in rocketry or is a current NASA employee, please reach out at shookdesignllc@gmail.com. Up next on the "smart" upgrades list for MakerTron are: GPS Location Accelerometer Color Sensing Light Sensing Bluetooth Connectivity To ensure the jetpack remains lightweight and mobile, I've included a 500mAh lithium polymer battery. The RGB LED lights on the wings are designed for nighttime flight or deep space use – they're incredibly bright! Once assembly instructions are complete, they'll be available at http://ShookIdeas.com. I'd love to get more votes from you now, so like this design and show your support in the MakerTron contest! To use that fantastic resin 3D printer from Pinshape and bring more creations to our community, vote for me here! Cheers, Justin Shook.
