Makerslide X Carriage V3

This carriage is awesome! I've worked on a ton of prototypes and put in a lot of effort to get to this design, and I'm truly thrilled with how it's turned out. It's made to work with two 50mm centrifugal fans that provide an outrageous amount of cooling for any overhang requirement up to 89 degrees. Instructions To build this carriage, follow these steps: Start by matching bolts and nuts with your parts carefully so everything fits snugly. I used the Crushinator (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:184634) to clamp down my belt, which gives a really tight grip that keeps the belt stretched out tightly. The fan at the front is just a standard 40mm computer fan with corners removed from the bottom using a Dremel. I used these centrifugal fans (http://amzn.com/B00H8VV0XK) and needed to connect them through a relay since they require 24 volts, not 12 volts, but it was well worth it for the price. To control their strength, I added a variable resistor. You'll also need some heat-resistant tape, which is essential for this build - I'll be posting pictures of that process soon. Insulating and directing air away from the nozzle block with heat-resistant tape was crucial because these centrifugal fans can keep the nozzle much too cool otherwise.
