MakerKnife 3D Printed Top Plate
thingiverse
This is my take on customizing the @giacowhatever MakerKnife. As I do a lot of 3D printing, it was only logical that I would end up customizing my MakerKnife using my 3D printer. And customize it I did. To start, I took a scan of the top plate of the maker knife and imported it to Fusion360 - the file is included if you want to customize it too. Next, all I had to do was correct the scan using measurements of the real thing, which I took with my calipers. Then I extruded the design and voilà! The result was a customized MakerKnife plate that I printed as a full model. However, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the outcome. Luckily, there are many fill patterns available, so I removed the top solid layers and let the infill show through - and that's all it took to create something truly unique.
