This extruder block shares the same quick release design as its original counterpart, but has been rotated 90 degrees so that the motor now protrudes out of the back. As part of an ongoing project to expand Z axis limits, I created this modified block. The full scope of this endeavor can be explored here: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/loches-z-axis-upgrade-for-prusa-i2 If you plan on utilizing it, note that some carriages may have the X axis belt positioned in a way that obstructs where the motor is intended to go. To overcome this issue, I opted for flipping my x carriage upside down, which turned out to be an effective albeit somewhat makeshift solution.
