MakerGear Simplified Extruder Block with Quick Release and Rear Motor Mount
thingiverse
The quick-release extruder block is identical to the original one; however, it has been rotated 90 degrees so that the motor now extends from the rear. This modification was made as part of an ongoing project aimed at enhancing the Z axis limit, which you can learn more about here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22887. If you decide to use this modified block, be aware that MakerGear's X-axis belt may interfere (I resolved this issue by flipping my x carriage upside down, albeit with a makeshift solution).
