MakerGear M2 Z-Stop Extension For E3D Hotend
pinshape
The E3D Hotend adds extra length to the M2 extruder assembly, necessitating an extension to the Z-axis Endstop. I discovered that the Printrbot Z Endstop Extension worked well but was too brief. I extended the length of the assembly to accommodate it. To install, print as is. Installing requires inverting the Z-stop bolt, and I recommend using two nuts to secure its position as shown in the photo. With this setup, adjustments to the Z-stop are much easier and re-zeroing the print bed rarely occurs.
