Makergear M2 V4 hotend Extruder tightened up throat for Flexible materials
thingiverse
I have successfully upgraded my Makergear M2 from the 3Vb to the V4 hotend and had to create this new extruder mod for soft materials to work with my M2. I recently installed it and am currently conducting thorough testing at this time. So far, everything works perfectly well; I will post photos later. I built mine using PETG. The S3D factory file that came with the supports and PETG profile has been included. When printing Ninjaflex, I use the following settings: - 3mm extrusion retractions - 2400mm/min retraction speed - .20mm wipe - Extruder at 215 Deg. C - Bed off - Layer 1 fan off; Other 100% - Default print speed is 2000mm/min To load the Extruder, I do it slower than PLA or ABS. I turn down my feed on the extruder to 200mm/min for loading. Additionally, it helps to do loading 10mm at a time till all the old filament is expelled. Update 6/9/17 Testing has been completed with PLA, ABS, PETG, and Ninjaflex. Everything has gone through the hot end like a pro.
