Makergear M2 V4 50mm Fan guard
thingiverse
I aimed to design a higher flow fan guard with minimal parameter adjustments, and I also wanted to create a basic fan guard. To accomplish this, I used openSCAD to generate the STL file, and the printed result turned out satisfactory. I printed this fan guard using PETG on Kapton tape at a relatively coarse setting, but it should work just as well with ABS. Since I didn't use a raft, I did employ supports; your mileage may vary. When selecting print material, be cautious, as melting or breakage could lead to damage in the layer fan and potentially even break it. Although I am using washers, they don't appear to be strictly necessary (they just add extra turns through the lock-nut if you choose to skip them).
