MakerGear M2 Mount for Raspberry Pi Sleeve Case.
prusaprinters

I use Octoprint to control one of my Makergear M2 printers but I also like to do a little RetroPi Gaming now and then so I made this quick release mount for my printer so I can quickly remove the Pi when I want to play some Super Mario Kart.

There are two versions of the mount. Both just use two 4-40 x 1/4" screws to mount it to the printer but one uses heat-set inserts (McMaster Carr part# 93365A120) and the other version can just be drill and tapped for the 4/40 screw. (or force a screw into the mount to thread it.)

Instructions

If you are going to use Heat Set Inserts..... thread a screw into the insert so the screw is completely covering all the internal threads of the insert. Hold the screw with needle nose pliers and then just heat the insert with a lighter and press it into the hole in the plastic. Hold it until it cools and then remove the screw.
Category: 3D Printer Accessories
