I control my Makergear M2 printer using Octoprint, but I also enjoy RetroPi Gaming on occasion. To quickly switch between the two, I created a release mount for my printer, allowing me to easily detach the Pi when I want to play Super Mario Kart. The mount comes in two versions. Both require only two 4-40 x 1/4" screws to secure it to the printer, but one option uses heat-set inserts (McMaster Carr part# 93365A120), while the other can be drilled and tapped for a 4/40 screw or, if necessary, force a screw into place. Instructions: If you plan to use Heat Set Inserts, thread a screw into the insert until it's fully seated. Then, using needle-nose pliers, hold the screw in place as you heat the insert with a lighter and press it into the plastic hole. Hold steady until it cools, then remove the screw.
