MakerGear M2 Mount for Raspberry Pi Sleeve Case.
thingiverse
I control one of my Makergear M2 printers using Octoprint but I also enjoy playing RetroPi Gaming on the side so I designed this easy-release mount for my printer allowing me to quickly take off the Pi when I want to play some Super Mario Kart. There are two versions of the mount, both using just two 4-40 x 1/4" screws to attach it to the printer but one incorporates heat-set inserts (available at McMaster Carr as part # 93365A120) while the other version can be simply drilled and tapped for a 4/40 screw or have a screw forced into it to thread it. Instructions If you decide to use Heat Set Inserts, thread a screw into the insert until the entire screw covers all internal threads. Then hold the screw with needle-nose pliers and heat the insert using a lighter while pressing it firmly into the hole in the plastic. Continue holding until it cools completely and finally remove the screw.
