This mounting plate supports the Bulldog-Lite extruder and Merlin-Hotend for my MakerGear M2. It was crafted from bamboo wood, initially as a test version, but I may opt for aluminium in the future. The original Makergear extruder features a planetary gear that failed on my printer. In contrast, the Bulldog Lite extruder boasts an aluminum construction and is designed with a spring-loaded mechanism, eliminating the need for a planetary gear. With fewer components to potentially fail, I can now print ninja flex on my printer, as the previous M2 filament drive struggled to feed this material reliably.
