Makergear M2 Hinged V4 Filament Drive

Makergear M2 Hinged V4 Filament Drive

This is a modified spring-loaded hinged version of the original V4 Filament Drive, designed specifically for the Makergear M2. My previous drive, printed in PETG, had worn out due to the tension on the bottom of the drive, so I engineered this hinged version to overcome that issue once and for all. I also added springs to eliminate the need for adjusting screw tension when working with different filaments. Two screws are now used to regulate tension, ensuring a smooth bearing performance. To build this modified drive, you'll need two M4x25 screws/nuts, some cut-down springs from a hardware store (their rate is unknown), and a finish nail (likely 4D) for the hinge pin. The fan mounting point on this design is offset, so if you're using stock fans, you might need to add a longer bolt and spacer to make them work properly. I personally use a blower motor for my bed fan because they are incredibly quiet, which means my mounts differ from the standard version. I highly recommend checking out the blower motor I use, available on Amazon at uxcell Brushless Sleeve Bearing Cooling 50mmx15mm (http://www.amazon.com/uxcell%C2%AE-Brushless-Sleeve-Bearing-Cooling-50mmx15mm/dp/B00W8W8LMM?ie). Recent updates include a version designed to work with the stock fan, uploaded on September 21st, 2018. On November 22nd, 2018, I uploaded a V4 Hinged Filament Drive Bearing BLTouch.stl (an untested BL Touch Mount Version). Lastly, on December 6th, 2018, I added an adapter for the Palette 2 hose.
