MakerGear M2 Glass Tray

MakerGear M2 Glass Tray

Sometimes when I'm printing one print after another, I find waiting for everything to cool down frustrating and wasteful of energy. That's why I keep a spare glass plate on hand, ready for me to swap in quickly and continue working on the next print. I built this holder for two glass plates, which are designed to sit at a slight angle if they need to be coated with Elmer's glue, preventing them from coming into contact with the side of the tray. You'll want to ensure that your glass plates have relatively close tolerances so that this design will work as intended, which is how I managed to get my two to fit in place perfectly. The files included - Cubify Design and Simplify 3D factory file - allow you to customize or print the holder as desired. Please make sure the plate gets a chance to warm up before you start printing.
