To keep your M2 in check, a ring comes to mind to prevent it from roaming freely across your work surface. You should be able to easily maneuver the M2 while the ring remains intact. Follow these steps: Print mine using PLA and follow the lead. Be aware that the tolerance on the inner diameter is quite small. The foot tolerance has been tight even with my old M2, I don't know if it's updated any further. Mine came out 38mm in outer diameter - for this reason, make ID 39mm in the ring. Adjust the OpenSCAD file as you see fit. For smooth operation, secure one side first then carefully place your M2 onto a firm base while holding another loose ring. Next, securely fasten that last part into position.
