We upgraded our MakerGear M2 with a dual extruder setup. Initially, the default settings caused both hot ends to extrude filament off the print bed before printing began. We discovered that occasionally, the filament would harden on the spool and get stuck in the feeder hole due to friction. To resolve this issue, we created a simple shield that attaches securely with a small hex bolt and nut to the M2's frame. This modification effectively eliminated the problem.
