Introducing a beefed-up fan bracket designed for the MakerGear M2 printer. The bracket supports both the 40 mm extruder cooling fan and 50 mm bed fan while providing a wire "shelf" to mount two LED strips from Radio Shack. These LEDs, in a spool packaging, are wired in series to give a 24-volt supply before being connected in parallel with the extruder cooling fan. The LEDs are mounted using Scotch double-face adhesive foam tape and improve visibility during printing, allowing for quick issue identification and resolution without wasting filament. Additionally, the 50 mm fan is set at a 40-degree angle to avoid hitting binder clips holding the glass bed in place. The bracket can be printed in MakerGear black PLA using Simplify3D software and OpenSCAD design, with no need for supports during printing. For M2 owners considering using this part with LEDs, ensure proper voltage configuration and wiring to avoid damaging fans.
