Makergear M2 EZ feed guide for 5mm Teflon tube
thingiverse
I'm remaking Hockenmaier's M2 Filament Guide, having relied on his manual for some time but found it struggles to feed with the stock tube due to its size. The guide only uses the middle hole, which led me to remove the other openings and clip off the end of it. The entire filament path has been redone. This revised guide features a collar holding a 5mm teflon tube, which already constitutes an improvement by itself. Below the collar is a 2.5mm hole leading to a wide funnel-shaped outlet, sized at 7mm. This funneled design corrects for the angle of filament coming off the roll, making it now feed effortlessly. Printer Settings: MakerGear Printer: M2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .20mm layers Infill: 30% hexagon Notes: To get precise and perfectly round holes for the feed points, I've utilized supports in this build. Additionally, enlarging the bolt openings may be beneficial – my own turned out too narrow.
