This upgraded electronics box is designed for M2 machines, featuring a securely screwable lid that prevents popping up like the factory one. It also includes a lock on the back side to keep power connectors in place. Approximately 90% of original hardware is used, with the option to use #8 sheet metal screws or m3 hex nuts for the lid. Inside, there's slightly more room than the factory model. Printing in ABS works well; main box may require a raft or corner tabs. Support is needed only under the fan on the lid, connector lock, and in square openings of the main box. An update includes an emergency reset button and an optional spacer for the fan. The maker opted for a higher performance ball bearing fan, replacing the stock fan which often went bad. However, this fan was noisy when mounted in the lid; printing the spacer solves this issue (stock MakerGear fans don't seem to have this problem).
